Jasmine and Me

Jasmine is her favorite princess! You remember Jasmine? From the Aladdin stories?

Yesterday when we were walking to school, she told me she wanted to practice her English by telling me a story. The title was "Jasmine and Me".

Once upon a time there was a beautiful Arabian princess called Jasmine. She lived in a castle. She had many friends...Aladdin, Genie, Magic Carpet. One day, her friends said,"We are bored. We want to go on a vacation."

But Jasmine did not want to go. So she stayed back in the castle, and watched her friends fly away in the magic carpet. She was a little sad.

Then suddenly, she got a letter. It was from her best friend, Urvi. It said:

Dear Jasmine,

How're you? Can I come to your castle to play with you?

Love
Urvi

Jasmine was so excited she started thinking about what to cook. (I guess Urvi gets this part from her mother's natural reactions before any friends' visit!)

Jasmine replied to Urvi.
Dear Urvi,

Of course you can come. I am very excited.

love
Jasmine

So Urvi came in a flying unicorn. She was very happy to see Jasmine.Together they played all day. Then they became hungry. But Genie was not there to cook for them. So they decided to cook something. Luckily Jasmine remembered everything Genie had taught her. They made milk, cornflakes, apples and jam tart. Urvi made the jam tarts.

Meanwhile, Aladdin and his friends were flying in the carpet. They were all very hungry. But in their hurry to leave they had forgotten to pack food. So they went from island to island looking for food. Then suddenly, they smelt something very nice and yummy.Their tummies started doing rumble, grumble.

They followed the smell, and guess where it took them? To Jasmine's kitchen where Urvi and Jasmine had prepared a wonderful feast. Everyone was happy. And they had a big party.

The End

(The ending was provided by me as we had reached the school and Aladdin and his friends were still scouting for food).

Dear Urvi,

I loved your story about Jasmine. And the pictures are lovely. Keep writing more stories! Love, Ian
